M.C.P. Coaches Ltd runs your school's bus service. The M.C.P. Coaches Ltd app shows you your child's bus, the driver on duty, and a pickup or drop-off update as it happens.

How to install the appHow the app works

Accounts are created by your school. There is no public sign-up.

Installing the M.C.P. Coaches Ltd app

M.C.P. Coaches Ltd is a web app you install straight from your browser — there is no separate download from an app store. Open the link your school sent you, sign in, then add it to your home screen so it opens like any other app.

How you receive the link
Your school's office sends the app link by email or message to the contact details they hold for you. You sign in with the mobile number the school holds for you — there is no password to remember. If you have not received the link, contact your school office.
Only ever open M.C.P. Coaches Ltd through the link your school sent you. There is no separate file to download and nothing to install from an app store.
Android phones and tablets
  1. Open the link your school sent you in Chrome on the phone you will use.
  2. Type your mobile number and enter the 6-digit code sent to you by SMS.
  3. When the install banner appears, tap Install. If it does not appear, open the browser menu and choose “Add to Home screen” or “Install app”.
  4. Open M.C.P. Coaches Ltd from your home screen — it now runs full screen, like an installed app.

Permissions the app asks for

  • Notifications — so pickup and drop-off updates reach you.
  • Location (optional) — only used to centre the map around you; the app does not track parents.
iPhone and iPad
Open the link in Safari, sign in, then tap the Share button and choose “Add to Home Screen”. Tap Add, and the M.C.P. Coaches Ltd icon appears on your home screen and opens full screen. Safari is required for this step; other iPhone browsers cannot add it.

Using the app

Signing in the first time
  1. Open the app, choose Parent, and type the mobile number your school holds for you.
  2. You receive a 6-digit code by SMS. Type the code to sign in — parents never need a password.
  3. You are then signed in and stay signed in on that device.
Choosing a child
If more than one child is registered to you, tap the name at the top of the screen to switch between them. Everything below updates for the child you selected.
Bus, driver and status
For the selected child you see the assigned bus, the driver on duty for today's trip, and whether the trip is waiting to start, running, or completed.
Live tracking
While a trip is running you can follow the bus on the map. The position updates as the bus moves and the app shows how recent that position is.
When the position is not current
Buses drive through areas with weak mobile signal. When the app has not received a fresh position for a short while, it clearly marks the position as not current instead of showing an old dot as live. It catches up on its own once signal returns.
Pickup and drop-off notifications
The driver confirms each child on board and off the bus. You receive a notification for your own child only. If you see no notifications, check that notifications are switched on for M.C.P. Coaches Ltd in your phone settings.
Language
In the app settings you can switch between English and Greek at any time. Your language choice is remembered on that device.

Common questions

Privacy and safety

  • Each parent account only shows the children the school has linked to it.
  • Live bus position is only visible while your child's trip is running.
  • The app does not share your child's details with other families.
  • Drivers only see the children on the trip they are driving.
  • Parent phone location is never tracked by the app.

Your school remains responsible for the family and child details it holds. Requests to correct or remove information go to your school office.

If something is not working

The code does not arrive

Check the mobile number for typos, wait a minute and request a new code. If it still does not arrive, contact the school office to confirm the number they hold for you.

No notifications

Open your phone settings, find M.C.P. Coaches Ltd, and allow notifications. Then reopen the app once.

App will not install

Make sure you opened the link on the phone itself, and that there is enough free storage. Then try the link again.

Wrong bus or address shown

Bus and pickup details are set by your school. Contact the school office to correct them.

App looks frozen

Close it fully and reopen it. If it still will not load, check your internet connection.

Contact your school

Your school office handles accounts, bus assignments, pickup addresses and the mobile number your sign-in codes are sent to. They are the fastest route to a fix, and they can escalate to M.C.P. Coaches Ltd operations if the service itself needs attention.
